Fall Activities for Kids

This fall I wanted to do some special activities for my little sisters, so I came up with these adorable and fun ideas! The first thing I came up with was a fall scavenger hunt. Here are the supplies you will need to prepare:

  • Gift bag(s)

  • Twine or ribbon

  • A list of things to find

  •  Tape or glue

  • Crayon or other drawing utensil

First, type out a list of  items to find outside (in the picture below you can see the items I printed out and use them if you’d like!). Glue or tape the list to your gift bag(s). I used twine to tie a crayon to the handle of the gift bag and…… Bam! You got your self a cute fall scavenger hunt bag!! The way we played was the first person to complete the list wins a prize. Obviously you can customize this activity a lot. So just have fun with it and enjoy the memories!

The second activity I did with the girls was a leaf-print-painting-project.(WOW! That was a mouth full!)  The supplies you need for this are pretty basic, but here they are:

  • Leaves (for better print, get leaves with no holes or rips)
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes or sponge (optional)
  • Canvas or paper
  • Aprons (optional)

Get everybody in their aprons, and the fun can begin! Give each child a piece of paper or a canvas, leaves, and paint brushes. (I personally like to use painting sponges. The color blends better.)  Squirt some paint on a plate for them to cover their leaves with. We used the colors red, orange, and yellow for a fall feel! After leaf or leaves are covered in paint, flip them over onto the piece of paper and press for a few seconds. When you peel off the leaf from the paper, you should have a super fun and unique print! Repeat these steps until paper is covered to your liking and………. Bam! Super fun craft… Complete! Again, this activity is flexible with colors and the leaves you choose! Enjoy the fun!

Getting everything ready!!!!
Stamp on the paint
M. painted the outside of the leaf, and it turned out pretty good!
Love the colors!!!!!!!!!

Until next time,
